Verdict

Our Verdict on the MS

Seton Hall fits its master's into one year for full-time students and ends with a case-based Financial Accounting Seminar full of research and written reports. Small evening sections, on campus or online, keep it open if you work.

The Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University, a private Catholic university in South Orange, New Jersey, offers the Master of Science in Accounting. It's built for graduates whose bachelor's degree isn't in accounting. You can attend evening classes on campus or take them online.

Fit

Who It Fits

  • Career changers with a non-accounting bachelor's: business and non-business majors are both welcome, and prerequisite waivers are available.
  • Aspiring Big Four hires: firms recruit at Meet the Firms Night, and a Beta Alpha Psi chapter builds recruiter contacts.
  • Future management accountants: the Institute of Management Accountants endorses the program as preparation for the certified management accountant (CMA).
  • Working adults near New York City: classes meet once or twice a week at 6:30 p.m., and the campus is about 14 miles from the city.
