Verdict
Our Verdict on the BBA
UNT pairs its Accounting B.B.A. with an Accounting Scholars Program that guarantees admission to an integrated master's and waives the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). That program grew from 5 students in fall 2017 to 84 in spring 2023.
The Department of Accounting in the G. Brint Ryan College of Business at the University of North Texas in Denton offers this Bachelor of Business Administration. Classes are taught on campus.
Fit
Who It Fits
- Incoming freshmen who want a graduate path: Scholars get guaranteed admission to the integrated B.S./M.S. and skip the GMAT.
- Transfer students bringing 45 semester hours or fewer, who can join the Scholars Program too.
- Students who like mentors: you get a faculty mentor and senior student buddy in year one, then a professional mentor in junior year.
- Future Big Four hires: two Scholars alumni finished all four certified public accountant (CPA) exam parts before starting at PwC.
